About the Premier’s Relief Payment

Who is eligible?

  • Your home was damaged or destroyed by the floods.
  • You are 18 years old on or before 10 January 2023.

What evidence do I need?

You need to prove you lived in a dwelling damaged by the floods. The dwelling must be your primary address, which means the place you live and spend most of your time each year. Some ways you can prove this are:

  • Recent Bank Statement showing name and address;
  • Rental agreement;
  • Local Government rates notice;
  • Passport/Citizenship Certificate
  • One household bills (e.g. water, electricity, gas, etc.)
  • Confirmation from landlord of tenancy
  • Confirmation from relevant authority (eg Aboriginal Corporation, Shire) of residency at that address.

When you apply online, you’ll need to attach the documents to your application, so have copies or photos of your documents saved on your phone, laptop or tablet.

As part of the assessment of your application, DFES staff may check to ensure the eligibility criteria are met. We’ll make sure your personal details are kept confidential throughout this process.
